13u Division Information
AGE GROUP: 12 & 13 years old (by calendar year)
PARK LOCATION: Community Park #3 (behind the Merritton Community Centre) & John Dempsey 2
GAME NIGHT: Participating in Niagara Interlock Loop in 2024
- 1 game per week: Tuesdays/Thursdays at 6pm would be our Home nights.
- Away games could be on other days as they are determined by their Associations.
Schedules are determined after registration closes April 31st.
PRACTICE NIGHT: Team coaches will determine days and times. It will be the same every week. Coaches can book the batting cage
2025 REGISTRATION COST: $275
DESCRIPTION: For Peewee, SCMBA will continue to develop its players in accordance to Baseball Canada fundamentals. The game rules become more similar to MLB playing rules (some resctrictions are applied at this level for proper development). SCMBA has adopted fair play rules that Coaches are informed of before the season starts. Teams will consist of 11-13 players (lessor is the goal).
Players are developing towards:
Pitching - different pitching stances, fielding
Fielding - movement range is expanded, understanding cutoff, basic double play, throwing distance and accurancy is expanded
Hitting/base running - leading off & stealing, sliding safely at all bases, hitting to the outfield and rounding bases
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Gloves/mitts are required.
- Batting helmets are required.
- Athletic supports are required.
- Belt for team pants
- Uniforms (jersey & hats) are provided.
- Players must provide their own gray baseball pants
- SCMBA will provide back catch gear
