11u Division Information
AGE GROUP: 10 & 11 years old
PARK LOCATION: Walkinshaw Park (McDonald St / Permilla St)
GAME NIGHT: Participating in Niagara Interlock Loop in 2024
- 1 game per week: Tuesdays/Thursdays at 6pm would be our Home nights.
- Away games could be on other days as they are determined by their Associations.
*Schedules are determined after registration closes April 31st.
PRACTICE NIGHT: Team coaches will determine days and times. It will be the same every week. Batting cage can also be booked by coaches
2024 REGISTRATION COST: Early Bird - $265 Regular - $290
DESCRIPTION:
For Mosquito, SCMBA will use fundamentals provided by Baseball Canada to develop its players. Coaches should use the Red Cap drills provided by Baseball Canada as well as drills appropriate for this age group. This is the first year for live pitching, catching and base stealing. Umpires use full baseball rules. SCMBA has rules put in place for fair play that all Coaches are informed of before the year starts. Teams will consist of 10-12 players (lessor amount is the goal).
Players are developing toward:
Pitching - basic pitching stance, throw 5/15 strikes, basic pitching fundamentals
Fielding - fielding position knowledge/range, proper fielding stance is introducted, throw 10/15 balls to 1st from the short stop position, able to field grounders to the left and right
Hitting - able to hit 10/15 fair balls or in between cones from live pitching, run 1st to 3rd with a slide at 3rd, NO BUNTING (for HL)

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Gloves/mitts are required.
- Batting helmets are required.
- Belt for team pants
- Athletic supports/jocks are required.
- Uniforms (jersey & hats) are provided.
- Players must provide their own gray pants as part of the uniform
- SCMBA provides catching gear
